Mail Order Services

I run a small part time nursery specialising in garden Euphorbias. The nursery is listed in The Plant Finder (entry NWit). I produce small quantities of Euphorbia plants in a wide range of varieties (usually around 60+ in any one year including many rarities). My aim is to make more of these wonderful plants available to the gardener.

Around 2 dozen of the more popular and desirable varieties are produced in larger numbers and will be available to purchase by mail order. This service is available between October and the end of February when the plants are small, dormant and I have more time. All mail order plants are either in 9cm square pots or bare rooted.

Euphorbia seed can also be purchased by mail order. These can be obtained by written request enclosing the correct remittance and a large stamped addressed envelope (large envelope stamp please). Seed is sold in packets with a minimum of 1 dozen seeds. Cultivar seed may be variable and not grow true to type. However they will still make good garden plants.

Reference Book

This pocket guide to garden Euphorbias was published by the Hardy Plant Society in July 2000. There are 56 pages containing chapters on History, Geography, Cultivation and Propagation. The bulk of the book consists of an A-Z of species and cultivars obtainable to the keen gardener. There is also a monthly calendar of information and garden tasks which will keep your Euphorbias in tip top condition. Black and white illustrations throughout the book by Cyril Stocks add interest to the text.

Reviewed in The Garden Magazine - February 2001

"Though small, this handbook gives a comprehensive introduction to the genus........ writing with enthusiasm and from practical experience........ This is a splendid example of fitting a quart of information into a pint-pot of text."

Reviewed by Christopher Bailes, Curator, RHS Garden, Rosemoor

The book costs £3 and can be ordered from all good book shops. The ISBN number is   0 901687 16 2

THE BOOK IS NOW SOLD OUT. AN UPDATED COLOUR BOOKLET IS IN THE PLANNING STAGE.
